General Worry & Rumination Group

Quieting the Busy Mind

Navigating anxiety, rumination and overwhelm

Program Overview

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
A evidence-based group for anxiety, overthinking and repetitive negative thinking.

Do you find yourself…

  • Constantly overthinking situations or conversations?
  • Worrying about the future or replaying the past?
  • Feeling like your mind never switches off?
  • Going over the same thoughts again and again without finding an answer?
  • Struggling to make decisions because you keep analysing every possibility?
  • Feeling mentally exhausted by your own thoughts?
  • Feeling like avoiding situations which create anxiety, or experiencing anxiety in your body?
  • Noticing any repetitive behaviours such as checking, washing hands, etc which you do in response to worries?

If so, you’re not alone.

Many people experience persistent worry and repetitive overthinking. While these thinking patterns often begin as an attempt to solve problems or prepare for the future, they can gradually increase anxiety, reduce confidence, affect sleep, and make it difficult to fully engage in everyday life.

About the Program

This structured group program incorporates evidence-based strategies from Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

The program is designed to help you understand why your mind becomes “stuck” in cycles of worry and overthinking, and, more importantly, how to step out of those cycles.

During the Program You Will Learn

✓ Understand how worry and rumination develop and what keeps them going

✓ Recognise the habits that maintain anxiety and repetitive thinking

✓ Reduce mental overload and overthinking

✓ Develop a different relationship with difficult thoughts

✓ Improve attention and present-moment focus

✓ Learn practical problem-solving skills

✓ Reduce reassurance-seeking and unhelpful thinking habits

✓ Build confidence in managing anxiety independently

✓ Develop a personalised plan to maintain your progress

Our Goal

We don’t aim to stop your thoughts.

We help you change your relationship with them, so they no longer dominate your attention or your life.

Our goal is to help you feel calmer, think more flexibly, and spend less time stuck in cycles of worry and overthinking.

You won't find a one-size-fits-all approach here. What you will find is a room full of people who truly get it.
